Siimet Oy's customer base consists of special transport companies, earthmoving companies, industrial companies and the armed forces.
Siimet Oy specialises in the design, manufacture and maintenance of special transport equipment and pallets for road and industrial use.

At Siimet Oy you will find a comprehensive range of special transport trailers. We manufacture semi-trailers, full trailers, trailers and material handling pallets. We also provide customised pallets according to the customer's wishes from start to finish. In addition, we modify and equip used trailers of all makes. Our service also includes fitting out tractor units.
Siimet over the years
1946
Aarne Siitari founded the company in Hankasalmi. The main products of the company were In the 1940s and 1950s, field buffers. The first pallets were produced in the late 1950s.
1959
The engineering plant burned down in Hankasalmi, after which the company decided to move Mikkeli
1960
It started in Mikkeli, where the first small workshop was built. for production.
The set was mainly composed of "big wheel" 2-axle trailers.
1965
Activities stabilised around pallet products. From the late 1960's to the 70's, the collection was based on the by the middle of the 20th century, 2-axle 16-wheeled trains.
1975

1975-1990
The "golden age" of Siimet Group Ltd. Finland's road network was built at a record pace.
A new "legendary" 3-axle 60 tonne pallet was developed, which was given a unprecedented popularity among customers. Lavettia are still sold today.
1990-1996
The recession of the early 90s in Finland almost completely shut down the pallet trade.
